Tree Services
Pruning & Maintenance
Trees are precious to our urban environment and special care is needed in order to make sure they remain healthy, safe and aesthetically pleasing.
Regular pruning maintenance is essential in order to protect your trees from injury and decline and encourage proper structure to make them safer and looking better.
At Harper Tree Care we prune any size tree and every hard to get to branch. Hedge & Shrub maintenance also falls under this service!
Plant Health Care
Plant health care is a holistic approach to nurturing trees taking into consideration the effect not only on the tree itself but its entire surrounding environment.
At Harper Tree Care, our two main plant health care services are:
Mulching
Maintaining adequate levels of mulch around your tree(s) promotes healthy growth and aids in strengthening your tree in fighting off pests and disease. We recommend the use of organic products.
Deep-root Fertilization
We use slow-release fertilizers that release high-quality nutrients throughout the growing season. It’s important to use tree-specific fertilizers that are applied into the subsoil past the grass roots.
We are currently working on developing a pest management program and may be able to help in this regard, so feel free to reach out for a free consult.

Trees are important part of our urban landscape. They help improve air quality, provide shade reducing energy costs, and add curb appeal which increases property values.
We can help you determine the right tree and right spot to plant in your landscape.
We also offer specialized care for your newly planted tree the first two years of its life, its most vulnerable stage.

Tree Removal
While Harper Tree Care is committed to preservation and longevity or urban trees, situations arise which make removal the only viable option.
A tree may die, become a hazard or grow in a poor location that results in a removal. An undesirable, invasive species is another common reason for removal.
When removing a tree, safety is our top priority and extra precautions are taken to protect your property and eliminate potential damage.
For removals in Niagara-on-the-Lake, we must adhere to their local tree by-law. For more information on this visit the link below.
